Enjoyed at the Dinner for Tim Stanley-Clarke Mossiman’s Wednesday 11th March 2015
Tasted five times in all each time as good as the last
This has to be one of the truly great ports. It is sensuous, voluptuous packed with black fruits all so nicely balanced by fresher red that lie beneath. The mid palate has ripe damson and bramble both intermingling with red cherry layers of flavour that give complexity. Although very rich the balancing freshness gives a lighter feel towards the back a wonderful elegance, flavours, fragrances that stay on and on and on.
