Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill 2004

The nose has a complex mix of flavours, nuts, apricots and citrus. The palate has layers of fruit the richer apricot underpinned by apple. There is a hint of maturity at the back hazel nuts and a lovely balance of richness and freshness the flavours lingering on the finish.

Le Montrachet Grand Cru 2009

95 2018-21

The nose has hints of maturity the palate fresh fruits at the start with rich melon and greengage in the middle depth of flavour. The layers of fruit give complexity an attractive balance of sweetness and freshness concentrated flavours at the back with nutty maturity on the finish.

Château Gruaud-Larose 1982

Saint-Julien 2eme Cru

95 2018-22

The nose has a fragrant mix of black fruits the palate cassis and bilberry backed by richer black cherry. The tannins are fine discreet the mid palate has sweet fruit the back palate is lighter fragrant the finish streamlined, elegant with length lingering flavours - classic.

Château Yquem 1997

Sauternes 1er Cru Supérieur

97 2018-25

There is a nutty fragrance behind the apricot and peach on the nose. The palate has candied orange peel richness depth of flavour yet there is balancing freshness an underlying hint of lime. Rich and ripe at the back the fruit is sweet with an attractive leafy hint of maturity on the finish.
